See what's in store for your first week at Univ

Packing List

Clothes:

  • Casual clothes (It is worth considering what type of clothing you will need for each term. Michaelmas is during autumn and winter so clothes for colder weather would be useful)

  • Fancy dress (for BOPs)

  • Formal clothes (for Formal Hall and events like Balls) Academic:

  • Stationery: pens, correction fluid, etc.

  • Paper/Notepads

  • Folders (to store work)

  • Subject specific equipment: exam suitable calculator for STEM students, etc.

Food:

  • Some plates and bowls

  • Cutlery: fork, knife, spoon, etc.

  • Glasses/mugs

  • Tea towels and dishcloths

  • Kettle (note: some rooms and kitchens may already have kettles upon

    arrival)

  • Bottle opener

Household essentials:

  • Bedding: duvet, duvet cover, pillow, pillow case, fitted sheet (Most rooms will have single beds, but College will inform you if this isn't the case)

  • Toiletries: toothbrush, toothpaste, shampoo, etc.

  • Towels

  • Hangers for shirts/coats

  • Laundry detergent

Admin:

  • Bank cards (since COVID, many Oxford businesses take card only)

  • Cash

  • ID: passport, driving license, and/or PASS card (eg. Totum)

  • Medical details

  • Passport style photos

Electronics:

  • Laptop/computer and charger

  • Phone and charger

  • Extension cable

  • Ethernet cable (optional)
